Subsea Tractor “Taurus”

In shallow offshore waters, strong currents and varying seabed conditions demand high-power trenching equipment. Our newly redesigned subsea Tractor is the optimal solution. Built on a highly modular open-frame architecture, it allows flexible integration of trenching tools, including high-pressure jetting modules for sandy seabed, chain cutters for clay or sandstone, and wheel cutters for rocky terrain. Skid modules and buoyancy options can also be configured to ensure reliable performance in soft seabed.

With intelligent operation assistance, the system enables precise and swift cable and pipeline tracking, efficient path following, and remote smart diagnostics. This reduces offshore window requirements, minimizes manpower, enhances construction quality, and strengthens overall project competitiveness.

Transportation and Installation

Highly modular design enables quick assembling/disassembling of chassis, track system, jetting system, main lift point etc. standard with assembling/disassembling tools, significantly reducing transport costs.

Performance Upgrades

Extendable to an extra-wide jetting tool and depressor with an adaptable cable diameter of up to 630mm.Configurable chain cutter and wheel cutter module to adapt to various challenging soil conditions.Optional local emergency panel for divers or ROVs to provide local operation in case of emergency.

Advanced Cable Protection System

In the burying operation, the track system works with floating jetting system, cable survey devices, and load sensors to achieve fast cable burying while avoid any damage to target cables or other surrounding infrastructures.

Cutting-edge Cable Tracking System

Support powerful cable tracking system and acoustic imaging devices, such as Teledyne and Optimal Ranging, for cable direction and position measurement under high sea state.

Progressive Positioning & Navigation System

GPS and USBL positioning system, INS, DVL, and various combinations of navigation software and hardware are configured for real-time positioning and combination monitoring of the position and direction of the tractor, surface support vessel, and cable at different depths.

Advanced High-pressure Jetting System

The spacing between left and right jetting sword can be adjusted independently to achieve different trenching width. Each water circuit can be on-off independently, adaptive to different seabed soil conditions and burial depth.Optional independent depressor or integrated depressor to cope with different target cable types.Optional front jetting system to further improve trenching efficiency.
